Day Six - Outer Ruins

Ta Prohm (Tree Temple) - Our FAVORITE!
There is no adequate way to describe the ruins with words. You will simply have to wait for the photos. From one ruin to the next we were in awe the entire day.
While walking from the ruin to the wat across the street (with the giant Buddha, where Charlie was waiting for her)... Jen spots an elephant (she LOVES elephants as you will see by her 373 photos of elephants)... she is distracted... she trips & falls onto a pointy rock, pierces & gouges her left knee.. blood is gushing... she feels she needs stitches... Steve replies "grow a pair & suck it up kid"! Charlie (MacGuyver) whips out his handy dandy bandana, applies a tourniquet & saves Jen's life! Way to go Charlie! Seriously folks, it's not that bad. However Charlie & Steve are still dealing with the aftermath. Jen did however find out that Cambodian ibuprofen (which is actually more like Vicoden) ROCKS!!
Visited the Landmine Museum. What a humbling reminder of the lingering affects of war on the innocent Cambodian people & children.  On a lighter note, we finished with visiting a wonderful butterfly exhibit & learned some fascinating facts about the numerous species of beautiful butterflies in Cambodia. Lastly, stopped at a silk farm & watched the incredible process of making silk. Bought some fantastic souvenirs!
